so, after reading the prequel, the r/s shippers thought "what about remus?" trailingoff has an answer to this question: he's the one tearing the shirt off sirius, of course!!

some of the crackfic out there is so bad it's embarrassing. but minnow will NEVER write bad crackfic, as as i'm concerned. not only is it funny, but also very clever. and i say this as someone who is REALLY hard to please when it comes to crackfic.

i've also been reading some great RE0 stuff over at billy_x_rebecca by sexgodclari. if you're interested in the pairing, look up the posts. the comm gets almost zero activity, so they should be easy to find.


technomology question: i was typing a reply to a post earlier and my keyboard went all weird, like... i tried to type a > and it gave me a / instead (the > was nowhere to be found, same with the '). the letters and numbers were normal, but the symbols were all switched around. I tried disconnecting and reconfiguring the keyboard, but the only thing that fixed it was rebooting the computer.

**i'm really considering going on a semi-hiatus, starting monday until my winter vacations (early to mid-july), because, let's face it, my grades are suffering because all of the time i spend on lj/fandom. i don't want to bail out on my fellow propheteers, so i'd show up on tuesdays to put together my rs_prophet issue and answer any lj comments i get while i'm at it, but ideally you wouldn't see me around for much more. of course i'd still finish my rs_games submission for round 2 and my last two big bang illustrations (and work on a seekrit project with trailingoff :p). idk. i don't want to start failing classes again, so i've really got to get my shit together, and soon.

i just have to remember that the hp fandom isn't going to drop dead while i'm gone :p

I love that this is essentially a snapshot, but still manages great lighting and contrasts. it tells quite the interesting story and i like that the photographer kept the partial framing of the window the pic was taken through.

Chocolate Placebo by Rhysenn-M. (fanart, remus/sirius)

Fantastic shading and facial features on both of them (i'm v. fond of their noses here!) I'm not sure what to make of their expressions and the way remus is being held and fed (looks slightly forceful/violent), but technique-wise, it's a beauty.

right, y'all know this isn't one of my favorite pairings, but damn. this is excellent. sirius is beautiful and i could eat that shading up with a spoon. i can feel how relaxed and contented and comfortable with each other they are, from looking at their facial expressions and poses.




i went through my class notes from last year, so expect a sketch dump in the next few days. yep. my notes are 50% actual notes and 50% doodles. can you tell some of my classes were boring?

they look so perfect together. it's smutty and hot, and sweet at the same time, and it hits so many of my R/S buttons. it made me grin like a complete idiot. it's stylistically simple, but very expressive and you all know i love that. WHY CAN'T I DRAW OR PAINT LIKE THIS, I ASK YOU. UNFAIR.

i can't stop staring at sirius's leg.

Oh my god, you guys, my Small Gift got posted today (well, yesterday) and it's so awesome!!

Spell Damage by lazy_neutrino, rated PG.

It's set late in OoTP, it has Sirius coming back from the veil as a nineteen-year-old, saved by a gift from Regulus. It's got confusion, banter, Horcruxes, and the complex changes in the character relationships are just so deliciously hinted at! There are so many details, I've re-read it like four times and I still feel like I haven't found them all. I fangirled and gushed all over the place, omg. It even included my massive kink for subtle touches that convey so much love without even needing to go further than just touching. AND it has a lovely (funny, even) hopeful ending. :D

Though this is probably my favorite part (which is probably shallow of me, but. well):

'That horrible beard is gone.'

Sirius' jaw dropped. 'I had a –'

'Yes,' Remus said tersely. 'It wasn't good. Trust me.'

omg, I'm so in love with this story.

Oh, late-minute Christmas shopping, how I hate you. Everyone's irritable, all the stores (and streets) are packed with people, it's hot, I'm horrible at buying things for even my closest family members and seeing all that money dissapear so fast makes me want to cry a little.

Buuut on the upside I bought myself 4 Gamecube games (cos I'm too po' for a Wii) as compensation for all my suffering. I win.
