and i did decently on my presentation too!! now THAT one i can't explain.

omg guys i'm kicking ass. i can hardly believe it. two more finals to go!! and then i can go back to the fanart! i am starting to feel weird, seeing so many posts without fanart. i have to start working seriously on the *~super-sekrit project~*, and i owe people birthday doodles and i found an old H/D sketch that i'm going to paint with watercolors because it's been a long time since i last used them.

other very ftw things:

my latest texture pack was featured on dA's texturegasm #9. i don't get this sort of exposure very often (hard to get noticed on a site like dA unless you, like, leave 1000 comments every day or draw anime) so it was a nice surprise.

speaking of dA, us cheap unsubscribed users get deviation previews now! how awesome is that?? i rarely comment because i'm too lazy to click on all the text links (i watch a fairly big amount of people) so maybe this will help.

one last thing. that fanartists vs. writers meme (i deleted my post and pics- i take it back, me ftl 4ever) reminded me of the existence of these photos. they were taken two years ago by an ex-classmate of mine. obviously i'm the model.

so, it didn't go very well.

paper: a piece of shit. i couldn't even manage one full page before my brain shut down and i think not even half of it make sense. but i turned it in anyway. i always seem to get higher grades than i expect in that sort of class (philosophy, art theory, etc), but i doubt that'll be the case here.

presentation: ugh. not too horrible, but far, far from good. i ended up tripping over my own words and repeating myself and saying dumb crap and ugh it was terrible. i'm sure i won't fail this class, but damn it, it was my final and i sort of blew it, so i feel bad about it.

so, in short:

I SUCK.

but here are the images. i haven't done a serious photo manipulation in ages, and i still think these aren't it (far too sloppy and simple), but i am getting back into it.

i'm also cheating and using these as art for one of my thematic100 prompts. ha.

A series of letters written by Sirius as he attempts to move forward with his life. R, AU. my favorite from these two. painful and moving and with some funny bits and a wonderful ending.

Remus is the new teacher on campus, Sirius feels the need to help him find his way. NC-17, AU. what i love the most about AUs are the "first meeting" scenes, and this didn't disappoint me. and the almost-sex scene in the car was hot. :D

and one entry from team backne *salutes gryffindor_j* this is less recent, but i've grown fonder of this story since i first read it.

you can't really tell from the photo, but the building color is an incredibly depressing shade of dark greyish brown (with a lot of white stains).
